Dads

from secret airlines by Yr Poetry

IBelieveInYrPoetry exclusive

lyrics

There is a light on in my old room. I race up the stairs to switch t off before my dad gets home.

If I keep wasting electricity, he's gonna kill me.

Poor choice of words. Cos dads die first. That's the great energy expenditure cycle of the universe.

And I just realised, I've lived longer without you than with you alive and I don't think you'd like what I've done with my life.

There is a light on (It was just a dream) in my old room (the same posters on the walls that I had..) I was always running out, never looking back.(..when I was 17)

And I just realised, I've lived longer without you than with you alive and I don't think you'd like what I've done with my life.
